Why do Christian leaders often fall and fail? Well one reason I believe is because the Lord wants folks to see Him... not some person. Leaders can fall prey to man worship.

I the Lord your God, am a jealous God... I will have no other God before me. Exodus 20:3-5

I’ve seen some wonderfully anointed folks, speaking with great authority and they just moved mountains and hearts... and did wonderful things... BUT... and this is a very sad “BUT” ... but... it just kind of went to their heads.
.
They got to thinking how wonderfully they were being used... how they really were “the voice of the Lord” ... and well... they stopped appreciating that it is just that... “The Lord” ... and not them.
.
Boom... Bam... Crash... Kerplunk... Ouch... and down they went. Off came the anointing and they lost that white hot fire of God’s Spirit. In their pride folks like this usually try and keep going... but they’re running on empty... and it leads to a lot of them just becoming... more of a hinderance... than a help.

That being said... the Lord is not defeated or troubled. He’s seen it all before... and He just simply moves on, pouring His Spirit on someone else. Usually, some little nobody that just Loves the Lord and is willing to do anything to follow Him.

Point Being... and the Bottom Line... If God uses you... Stay Humble, Stay Simple... Give Him the Credit... Point Folks To Christ & His Anointing. Never Take The Credit for Yourself... And Run From Anyone Who Starts To Flatter You & Lift You Up Instead Of Christ. They... Are Not... Your Friend.

Wow. This is exactly what I needed to hear this morning. I was thinking about the future in this life, thinking how am I going to make it. He has always done so much for me in the past but what's going happen now? So, these are great promises.
