Every great man or women of God went through a crushing... a purging... a catharsis... but that was not the end of their story.
.
Joseph was thrown into a pit and sold as a slave. Then he was framed and thrown into prison. WHY? Because God had a plan... and he had to break and humble the man, before he could use him. In the end Joseph saved his people and the nation to which he was called.
.
Moses was riding high in the palace of Pharaoh... a prince of Egypt till he killed the Egyptian and was forced to run for his life. 40 long humbling years in the desert... BUT... he learned to listen and obey and follow God. He returned a broken man... BUT... a man God could use... to set his people free.
.
I'd go on... BUT... it is more the rule than the exception. Samson... David... Ester... Nehemiah... Jonah... Paul... & Peter... they all had their day.
.
Even Christ... the King of Kings... was born in a lowly stable. He suffered all things as we do. Isaiah 53:3 He lived a simple life of love, truth, hope and salvation for you and me... and in the end they killed him. Even He... The Son Of God... Learned Obedience Through The Things Which He Suffered. Hebrews 5:8 Out of that horrible defeat... He rose from the dead and opened the gates of Heaven.
.
So if you're going through it... JUST KNOW... God's Got A Plan For You! He's Taking You Down... So He Can Raise You Up. Everything is going to be OK. Trust Him & You'll Win In The End.
Rising From The Ashes

I absolutely love the daily inspirations on this website. I'm a single mom raising two kiddos and these bolts of light give me hope to keep fighting on. They really brighten my day. They remind me that nothing is too hard for Jesus. He never fails.

Wow. This is exactly what I needed to hear this morning. I was thinking about the future in this life, thinking how am I going to make it. He has always done so much for me in the past but what's going happen now? So, these are great promises.
Jesus, the same yesterday today and forever.
