May 17th
When Moses thought he could do it... he blew it. He killed the Egyptian and had to flee to save his own life. Only after 40 years of being humbled in the desert could he be broken enough... and yielded enough... to come back and set God’s people free.

Then there was Samson, so cool... the family jewel. Until he lost it all... and suffered a horrible fall. Only after that humbling and breaking could he be used to defeat God’s enemies.

Time would fail me to tell of Jonah, or Jacob, or that old rascal Saul, who became Paul, and went on to write half the NEW TESTAMENT. They all had to learn to let go and follow the Lord.

My greatest victories in life... were never mine... but miraculous things the Lord did.

My greatest failures were when I thought "I knew best"... and pushed MY program.

As the man said... "For God's Sake, Follow God!" It has to be His Plan, His Provision & His Leading. Don’t try and do it by yourself.

TRUST & OBEY... FOR THERE’S NO OTHER WAY TO BE HAPPY IN JESUS... BUT TO TRUST & OBEY!

I absolutely love the daily inspirations on this website. I'm a single mom raising two kiddos and these bolts of light give me hope to keep fighting on. They really brighten my day. They remind me that nothing is too hard for Jesus. He never fails.

Wow. This is exactly what I needed to hear this morning. I was thinking about the future in this life, thinking how am I going to make it. He has always done so much for me in the past but what's going happen now? So, these are great promises.
